During a visit to America some years ago, Michael Harty viewed a Biofuels plant in production and saw this as a way to stabilise fuel costs in his own transport company at home in Ireland.

     The concept of producing Biofuels from waste cooking oil came about as it was the most cost effective approach. Finally after months of extensive research in Ireland and abroad, HBF was born in summer of 2007.

HBF Biofuels helps make   Harty International Transport a more enviromentally friendly company by significanty reducing the carbon emmission's being released by the company's fleet. 100% Biofuels is now being used in all sixteen of the company trucks and what's more even the forklift's are running on the eco-friendly fuel.
